When I woke up the next morning, I found a new disappearance…
I ate sauce (from last night's dinner) by dipping a spoon in the pot on the stove. I was alerted by the appetizing odor of grilled toast that it was time to pour honey directly on the bread.
While eating, I tried to guess what had disappeared this time. The only thing of which I could be certain is that it had nothing to do with sauce, bread with milk, tea or honey. I could taste them as I had done the day before.
It's sad to see foods disappear, whatever they are…When I was a child, I loved to eat salad with green beans…My mother often asked to the fruit and vegetable seller :
--Do you have any fresh green beans? The kind that make a crunchy sound when you break them.
It's been a while since I've eaten green beans. I cannot even remember the form, the color or the taste.
Lorsque je me suis réveillée le lendemain matin, une nouvelle disparition s'était produite…
…j'ai mangé la blanquette (de la veille) en plongeant une cuiller dans la casserole sur la poêle. Avertie par la bonne odeur du pain grillé, j'ai ouvert les papillotes et fait couler du miel directement dessus.
Tout en mastiquant, j'essayais de deviner tout ce qui a disparu cette fois-ci. La seule chose dont j'étais certaine qu'il ne s'agit pas de blanquette, de pain au lait, de thé ni de miel. J'avais pu en manger comme la veille.
C'est triste de voir le nourritures disparaître, quelles qu'elles soient…Lorsque j'étais enfant, j'aimais beaucoup la salade de "haricots verts"…Ma mère demandait souvent au marchand des quatre-saisons :
--Vous avez haricots verts bien frais? Qui se cassent en faisant du bruit.
Il y a déjà un certain temps que je ne mange plus de haricots verts. Je ne suis même plus capable de m'en rappeler la forme, la couleur ni le goût.
